Description

The project addresses six musical genres (and / or cultural expressions) which are cultural heritage of the country to which they belong. Our goal is for people to be part of the exchange of our cultural baggage, in this case being the  music, and that in the same way they can know the cultural richness of the countries of Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

The musical genres that we address are: E l Mariachi , which is a traditional musical genre considered as a fundamental element of the culture of the Mexican people, since it helps to promote respect and visibility of the natural heritage of Mexican regions. E l Huapango characterized by being a Mexican type are arising from the indigenous, Spanish and African musical heritage in the country.

On the part of Uruguay, the Murga that is considered as the chronicle of last year and reflects in the form of a manifestation the social and political circumstances of the country, therefore it represents an important cultural sector. E l Candombe , a dance of African origin that was born with the arrival of slaves to the Uruguay region

The Vallenato that was inherited to the farmers of the Valledupar region in Colombia, by their Spanish and African ancestors. La Champeta , a musical genre from the Colombian Caribbean region, originally from the Afro-descendant areas of Colombia, which is expressed through a popular language to narrate the experiences of its interpreters.

Finally, the Festejo , an Afro-Peruvian musical genre that represents black miscegenation and the time of slavery in Peru.

We approach these expressions from different subtopics, such as the history of each of the musical genres, the instruments they use and the traditional clothing used for their interpretation. In order to provide a broader and more complete picture to the audience.
